Tiburon Salmon Institute Projects

TSI Programs Overview

Through partnerships with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association (NOAA) and the California Academy of Sciences, we are currently developing a marine science center that will be a fieldtrip destination for elementary and middle school classes. At the center, the students will have the opportunity to observe Bay Area wildlife in one of our many aquaria, as well as observe fingerling salmon in one of three floating salmon pens. They will also be able to catch crab, dissect marine animals, and learn about the dwindling salmon habitat and the salmon’s importance for the health of the San Francisco Bay and related waterways.

Until the center is completed, we will be offering classroom programs at your school. Programs can be catered to your needs. Just give us a call and we’ll help you determine what will work best for you and your school.
